I was born and raised in Labrador City (yes, the town that proudly calls itself a city… only in Newfoundland would that make sense). These days, I’m happily settled as a husband to a beautiful Cape Breton girl and dad to two incredible kids.
Without the love and support of my family, I simply wouldn’t be the man I am today. They’re my anchor, my inspiration, and my daily reminder of what really matters. I can’t say enough about how much I love, respect, and appreciate everything they do for me, especially the fact that they somehow put up with me (no small feat, trust me).

Grace is our sassy, creative firecracker who can go from dancing or biking to curling up with a good book in record time. She’s also smart, caring, and a wonderful friend. On top of all that, she’s busy working on her own comic book and seems to always have a new song in the works, the kind of imagination that keeps us constantly amazed.
Everett is our lovable, cuddle-obsessed ball of energy who’s equally passionate about dinosaurs, fart jokes, and building Lego creations bigger than our kitchen table. He also loves to draw and has taken a big interest in the code that Dad writes, often asking what I’m building and how he can “hack himself on the internet.” (I’m both proud and slightly terrified.)
My wife Chrissie is my rock, the person who makes me want to be a better man every single day. She encourages me, supports me, and somehow always knows when to push and when to simply be there. Together we share a love of food: cooking, eating, and experimenting with recipes that usually turn out exactly as planned (thanks mostly to her). When we’re not in the kitchen, chances are we’re at the table with a deck of cards or a stack of board games, trading laughs and a little friendly competition.
Chrissie is also a Tragically Hip–loving, Atlantic Ocean–craving, instantly-friends-with-anyone kind of person, the kind of woman who lights up a room and makes people feel at ease within minutes. To say I’m lucky would be an understatement. She’s the heart of our home and the steady force behind everything I do.
Outside of family life, I still geek out on WordPress projects that don’t make it into my day job, because apparently “nerding out” on code is how I relax. I’m also a lifelong music lover with more guitars than my wife says I need, though these days I’m reaching for the bass most often. When I’m not strumming, you can usually find me with headphones on or controller in hand, losing myself in a PlayStation game.
At the end of the day, family comes first. Everything else, work, hobbies, side projects, fits around the joy and chaos of life at home. This page isn’t just about what I do; it’s about who I do it all with.
