The Carleton Newsroom is the primary source of news to showcase Carleton University and its faculty members and their research to an external audience and also serves as a directory listing of experts around the university.

Several highly customized WordPress template files provide Carleton the ability to get news out in quick fashion, as well as to share faculty specific stories to their respective expert profile.

CIS Hoops is devoted to offering readers timely, consistent, accurate and topical information on CIS mens basketball. Their goal is communicate the important information for fans who want to keep up with CIS Mens Basketball action.

CIS Hoops underwent a redesign and was developed with WordPress to facilitate the posting of a large amount of content written by a individuals around CIS mens basketball.

Project TEMBO

In Canada, Project TEMBO and its volunteers raise awareness and raise funds, and in Tanzania, TEMBO Trust carries out programming. Their focus is educating and empowering girls and women their project work is described throughout the site.

I helped provide the organization the ability to quickly and easily add and update content, whether they are in Canada or not through the use of a variety of basic WordPress features as well as custom post types and taxonomies.

Research Works

Research Works was originally a quarterly magazine and was originally developed as a replacement for the print version. The idea to move towards a blog oriented format came along, which required a design tweeks.

Working with a colleague and staff member from the research area, we made adjustments to the overall flow of the online publication, and developed a fresh set of WordPress templates.

Sprott School of Business

In late 2009 the Sprott School of Business began accessing the organization and structure of their web site. Generating detailed reviews of overall and section specific reports based on analytical data, a detailed site map and content plan was drafted.

Site design and development began in early 2011 using basic WordPress functionality for pages and news posts, as well as multiple custom post types and taxonomies with various jQuery elements to create directories, photo galleries and events.

Carleton CMS Upgrades

A redesign and fresh set of templates were developed for Carleton University to provide departments, faculties and other areas across the university a highly customizable WordPress CMS.

The CMS is tailored to provide editors the ability to quickly and easily work with their content, and a combination of custom post types and taxonomies give users areas to build staff and faculty lists and profiles, events lists, photo galleries and more.

PSEWEB is a website for Canada’s Post-Secondary Education Web Marketing Conference covering various aspects of social media, web design and development, web technologies and more.

Designed by Real Decoy, the site uses WordPress as a CMS with custom theme options and jQuery with Lavalamp, while incorporating Gravity Forms for various types of form submissions.

Shane Flight Music

This site was built to be a one-page showcase of the musical talents of Shane Flight. The designed was based off a tutorial from Six Revisions to create an old wild west style print poster, and featured a flash MP3 player from Flabell which allowed for both listening to music and downloading MP3 files. Site used WordPress, jQuery and Fancybox to allow for browsing through song lyrics and more.

Employment Connection Centre

The Employment Connection Centre provide employment counseling services to unemployed and underemployed individuals in Labrador City and Wabush.

The site is powered by WordPress and uses posts combined with the Custom Field Template plugin to power an employment opportunity job board, as well as information about the centre and the employment aid services available to those seeking a job.
